Slow Roast Beef.
Tender meat with all the flavour. Gravy and vegetables make it the real meal. I love cutting into the meat and discovering more slices under it. I think the meal might be too big. But I eat it all because it is so delicious.

I tried so many different meal packs, and bbquick, in my opinion are the best.
However, I really can't stand Chinese five spice, and have tasted it in a couple of meals. My way around it is to cover the dish in my plum sauce, which is a shame from Chef Gordon's point of view I'm sure.

Have to say Chef Gordon and his team really know what they are doing, I haven't had a bad meal yet.
I always heat in the oven covered with foil for 25 mins and 5 mins to finish off, sometimes I add a dribble of water 20mls to the top of the dish before they go in.
My wife's is a fussy eater, and we use these meals when I don't feel like cooking, and something I don't cook on a regular basis.
They are top notch , Thanks Chef.

What is Pick n Mix?

This is our meals in a completely customisable shopping experience. You choose the exact meals you want. Pick n Mix is here for you, when you want to have complete control of your meals, or simply add some more of your favourite meals to an order. You can combine set menu meal packs with Pick n Mix selections, as long as your total meals is 8, 16, 18, 24 or 30.

Why must I buy my meals in specific quantities

The minimum meals we allow for purchase is eight. This is our default shipping quantity. This is to ensure a snug fit for maximum chill factor. We also ship in increments of 16, 18, 24 and 30. We don’t allow for the shipping of quantities between these increments for the same snug fit and maximum chill reason. We always suggest to use Pick n Mix selections to upgrade 16 meals to 18, and 24 meals to 30. The shipping cost will not increase, which will give you the most cost effective shipping. If you wish to buy over 30 meals, please contact us to organise the optimal shipping for food safety and cost effectiveness.

How long does it take to ship?

“Our packaging is designed to provide preservation for up to 60 hours (equivalent to 2.5 days) or even longer, although such extended duration is seldom required. Approximately 90% of our packages are delivered on the next day, with a few taking an extra day for delivery. In certain cases, particularly for addresses in rural areas, it might necessitate a third day for delivery. Even in such circumstances, our meals remain safe, consistently maintained below -5℃. The top meal may exhibit a slight softening effect, and we recommend placing this meal directly into your refrigerator rather than refreezing it.”

“Office/Shop Pickups: Available Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm (For pickups outside of these hours, please arrange in advance).
Local Dunedin City Deliveries: Typically scheduled for Tuesday to Friday between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
Same-Day Dispatch to South Island Destinations: Monday to Friday mornings only.
Next-Day Dispatch to South Island and North Island Destinations: Monday to Thursday. Orders must be submitted by 11:00 am to be included for dispatch on the same day as ordering.
Rural Orders: Please refer to the special note in the “Rural Address Customers” section.

Unlikely But Worth Knowing;

On very rare occasions;

A meal may occasionally pass our rigorous quality control with a minor seal imperfection. Please be assured that these meals remain completely safe to consume. We apologize if you happen to receive one of these in an exceptionally rare circumstance.
To minimize any potential wait times, in the rare event that a meal you’ve ordered becomes unavailable after confirmation, we will promptly replace it with another meal from your order of equal or greater value. Please note that such occurrences are extremely uncommon.
In the event of an unusually unexpected courier delay, rest assured that our meals are snugly packed to ensure their safety. They will remain well within a safe temperature range of <-5°C, and if the top meal is slightly soft, you may choose to place it in your refrigerator for prioritized consumption over the next few days.

Can't read the heating instructions?

Heating Instructions: simply reheat from frozen (no need to pierce) in the microwave on high until piping hot
(all microwaves are different)
# for best results – microwave on high 4 minutes then rest for 10 minutes to allow permeation – then again microwave on high for 2-4 minutes but this time watch the meal as the bag may puff right up – if so then open the door and let it wilt down then resume – or heat for 1 minute at a time until piping hot …. you will find your own special technique

RURAL ADDRESS CUSTOMERS

We take great pride in our consistently excellent delivery service provided to all our esteemed customers. However, we acknowledge the increasing challenges of maintaining our usual 2-3 day delivery guarantee for rural addresses.

As the weather warms up, we have made the strategic decision to proactively reach out to our rural clientele. We would like to explore the possibility of you collecting your package from the nearest Drop Point, Agent, or NZ Courier depot. Many of our rural customers find this option appealing, as it not only ensures quicker meal delivery by a day but also eliminates the rural handling surcharge.

Upon receiving an order destined for a rural address, we will conduct a thorough analysis to determine the nearest available pickup location. Subsequently, we will contact you to confirm whether collecting your order at your convenience is agreeable.

It’s important to note that we still offer the option of rural door-to-door service, upon your specific request. However, it must be emphasized that choosing this option would entail some risk. We cannot guarantee that the meals will remain frozen below -2℃ during transit, though they will remain safe for consumption below +4℃. It is advisable to store such meals in a refrigerator rather than attempting to refreeze them.

What happens if my meals arrive while I'm at work?

The friendly NZ Couriers driver will leave them in a non conspicuous spot near your door step. Note to self “Don’t forget bbquick meals when I get home”. If you are in Dunedin or Mosgiel, and choose Doorstep handover shipping, the meals will be left on your doorstep. These are packaged in a snug cardboard box rather than styrofoam boxes.
