this was a family favorite in the 70's...best with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream

probably this will have to be our signature dish...it's been our biggest seller from the beginning

double baked leg ham - double roast potatoes
ahaaa ...but not double the price....get in to it!

very healing chef reckons when you are not feeling 100%....this recipe came out of chef's memory of back in the 70's doing his apprenticeship under chef Robert Nixon at the kelvin hotel in invercargill

with leg ham bits and plenty of cheese....rate it out of 10 for us

with hoisin sauce and mash.....warning....you will need a finger bowl...say no more

velouté style...you could add a couple of scallops or prawns or a wee bit of smoked chicken to jazz it up a bit....but really no need....we love it!

done properly...this should take you back to the 2nd best roast chicken meal you ever had

sage and onion gravy with a wee hint of caraway

the meatballs are inspired by chef's mum's recipe from way back and he reckons the sweet and sour is way better than                   the old "kan tong" (respect) (-:l=3

as you can see we have used the large grain Israeli and it's beautiful

with eggplant, chickpeas, cashew nuts and all the rest.....a meat eater won't miss meat here!

good size portion and real healthy and comforting

talk about a "hearty" vegetarian meal! a real big portion 2 cabbage rolls filled with seasoned couscous and slow baked with roast tomato sauce

the ultimate comfort dish!....so you have to stock up on these .... with a white parsley sauce alongside boiled potatoes, beans and carrots....mmmmmm...ummm!

something different and it's delicious..there's a good serve of kumara

with real thai flavors - jasmine rice, cauliflower and cross cut beans
